  • Language: English

The February meeting of the Bellingham SQL Server Users Group will be on Tuesday February 16 at 6:00pm.

For this meeting we will be doing a Lightning Talk competition.  Please email me if you would like to present a Lightning Talk. The first 6 or 7 who submit will get a chance to compete.

What is a Lightning Talk?Lightning Talk is a 10 minute session where you present on a topic related to SQL Server. The 10 minute limit is a hard stop, meaning you can't go past the 10 minutes or you will be cutting into another speakers time. Lightening talks must have not been presented at previous PASS events, such as SQL Saturday or PASS Summit.

How does the competition work? The audience will have forms that they will complete to review each speaker, each speaker will receive the feedback, and at the end of the meeting the top 3 presenters will be announced.

To submit: Email an abstract describing your Lightning Talk to Steve@Stedman.us. Abstracts must contain a title, and a description that is less than 200 words long. Topics must fit into one of the following categories, SQL DBA, SQL Programming, Business Intelligence, or Professional Development.

Prizes the top 2 will receive a SQL Mentoring package from Stedman Solutions, LLC. Everyone else will gain a valuable experience.
First Place: 60 minutes of SQL Mentoring.
Second Place: 30 minutes of SQL Mentoring.

As usual, we will have pizza at the meeting.

The chapter meeting will be at the following address. Thanks to Derrick Bovenkamp for providing the location for this meeting.
